A hidden gem in the Shuangjing area is Meeting Point, an Italian-run restaurant that serves reasonably priced pastas and pizzas. The seafood soup is one of my favorites. For dessert try the amazing creamy and light panna cotta, arguably the best in town. Meeting Point is located at: B1 Legend Mall, Shuangjing Bridge, directly opposite the Fuli Mall. Refresh, one of the best cafes in Beijing

Refresh, a fairly new cafe at the intersection of Gongti Beilu and Gongti Donglu, is now serving home-made bagels smeared with cream cheese. I especially like the cream cheese with dill. You can also get your bagel with fresh salmon. The other pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches are also excellent, as is the coffee. Also try the home-made fresh ice cream---I like the mango flavor. Service is also excellent. This is now one of my favorite places for a quick bite. For more details, see my review here
